Gospel-Driven Sanctification
Why is Gospel-Driven Sanctification Important for You?
You are thinking of entering into Redemptive Coaching because there is something in your life you want to change or grow in. Redemptive Coaching is about seeking change and growth. This is at the core of what we do at Redemptive Coaching and it is God’s desire in your life – For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). You may think that the change or growth you are seeking is impossible but we believe that it is both possible and necessary as you step into God’s plan of Gospel-Driven Sanctification. If you are redeemed in Christ, His child, the following is true of you and what we seek to guide you in at Redemptive Coaching.
Living Your Salvation
Your salvation is not just a past event that makes it possible to go to heaven; it is a vibrant, active reality that makes change possible in your life. All of God’s salvation is yours now yet there is a past, present and future aspect that sets the priority for our daily living.
Justification: Salvation from the penalty of sin. Jesus on the cross said it is finished and He took on the penalty for our sins. We are securely His. (1 Thess. 1:10; Eph. 1:7; Col. 2:13-14; 2 Cor. 1:9-10; Rom. 3:21-26)
Sanctification: Salvation from the power of sin. This is what we are to live each day. In His power and strength we are called to a life of change. Partnering with God in becoming like Jesus. Seeking the change/growth God wants to make in my life. (2 Cor. 3:18; Rom. 8:29; Phil. 1:6, 2:12-13).
Glorification: Salvation from presence of sin. Here is the confidence that our future is secure. Our hope is in Him and we will be with Him forever. (Rom. 8:21-23; 2 Cor. 5: 1-2)
The change/growth you are seeking is not just a desire it is a priority. The Bible tells us that we will have struggles in our lives (Romans 8:18-25), areas we will want to amend. God wants to bring about change in these areas, and more, but there is a specific purpose. At Redemptive-Coaching we want to understand you desire for change as we hear your story but we want to help you move beyond your perceived desire to begin to see how God wants you to grow in the midst of your circumstances. God’s ultimate desire is help you become more like His Son (Romans 8:29). This is the purpose of our sanctification.
Change yes, and God has given us what we need for change (2 Peter 1:2-4). Our sanctification is Gospel-driven because we have a Savior, Jesus Christ. At Redemptive Coaching we seek to understand how God wants to bring change in your life and to help you take the steps necessary to experience God’s transforming work in your life.
As you step into God’s design what you experience is more than change – it is transformation. It is that which is driven by your relationship with Jesus.
So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:12-13)
